Epoxy or hot glue might do the trick. I have the same problem with one of my ignitors.

Just get a long nosed lighter for a dollar, they work just as well and come in a convenient trigger case.

went i first began, i quickly fell in love with lantern lighters, they are far cheaper than bbq's ($2.80 a peice at walmart in camping section) and they create a larger spark.

put the wire against the threads then screw the metal ring thing on.

just strip the wire some (if it isnt already) and wrap it around the little metal thing on the bbq ignitor. then just put a little hot glue on to hold it in place or wrap it in electrical tape.

i got the tings that you can get at lowes or home depot that (i dont kno the names of) that you can cut the plastic off and jab a nail in to widen up one end to alow it to slid onto the bbq ignitor and crimp the other end to the wire, i use them on all my cannons i think i got a few layin around
