Can you use pure propane on any combustion in place of deodorant or hairspray or is doing this just asking to blow up? I dont really know what everyone means when they say 1x mix or whatever and whatnot so i was wondering. Parents would probably never allow me to use pure propane but was just curious.

Yes, as long as you don't add an oxydizer.

<<< passed chemistry with a C, so by oxydizer you mean air?

By oxydizer he means O2 for combustion.

If you use just normal every day air which contains I think like 21% O2 than you will be fine.

Just don't add pure oxygen to the mixture or the chamber probably will blow up if sch40.

As in oxydizier he means oxygen, air is about %75 nitrogen...

You need air for it to combust...

To use Propane you can ghetto it (just open a torch valve and let some in, and then put on your cleanout cap)

Or what you definately should do is buy\make a propane meterings system, it cost a lot to much, and quite a bit to make, but they're %100 worth it because you save tons when you get hundreds of shots in a $3 propane cylinder vs. a much lower number for $4 deoderant... Propane is also way more powerful...

If your gun is made out of NSF-PW PVC feel free to use propane, %99.9 chance nothing bad will happen (I don't know of anyone who's gotten hurt yet)

But if your gun is ABS or NSF-DWV PVC I'd not use propane...
Hairspray isn't even really safe in DWV PVC, but fine in ABS

What you need in a propane metering system is a Propane tank, a regulator, 2 ball valves, and a "meter pipe", Look on the Order Forum on SpudTech.com to see what it looks like, but $90 is too much to buy for, people on SpudFiles (here) in the classified sell then for about $50

Propane isn't really more dangerous than hairspray or deodorant. It is more powerful, but nothing to worry about. Do you understand the for it to combust, you need fuel, oxygen and a heat source, right? In a hybrid, extra air is compressed into the gun to allow for more fuel, which creates a bigger combustion. A 1x mix is a normal combustion gun. A 2x mix you add 14.7 (I think) psi into the gun, and double the normal fuel amount.

I would insult you but you already make yourself seem like an idiot, do some research next time.

Your basically right...
A 1x mix is just using basic atmospheric pressure (14.7 avg) and a meter pipe full of propane (the meter pipe's volume is equivilant to %4.2 of your chambers volume with propane for the best combustion (%4.6 for MAPP))

A 2x mix is when you add an "extra atmosphere" which is normally about 14.7 psi and then I believe you add %4.2 more propane (another meter pipe full)

A 3x mix is when you add 2 "extra atmosphere" which is about 29.4 psi and then I believe you add 2 more meter pipes full...

I'm not %100 on thoose, but i'm pretty sure that's what it is...

A 4x mix is just 3 extra atmosphere and 3 extra meter pipes full.
