I obviously did not invent this valve but i wondered if any one here has ever tried it? This could be an easy semi auto and make a good bb gun. Do you think my design would work?

thats a good idea, if you wanted multible shots then you should have a very small hole in the piston.

They use hammers in co2 pistols, they are small and I can't tell how they work by looking at mine.

sorry to burst ur buble but the hammer valve in your diagram is gonna leak like hell, and i am not talking about o rings either. the air is just going around the round thing, you need like 2 tees to solve this

i think Chewy made a hammer valve gun like that

Like what salad said, it's is extremely hard to seal something that spins or slides. You can try it but you'd get air loss around the magazine. Just make a mini hopper for BBs on top. It's also going to be very hard to seal the pison in a circular area.

I drew up a way to make this work without it having to seal inside the pipe between the chamber and barrel. Basically, the piston is contained inside the chamber so it can seal and then when pushed the air flows through. I think this solves the problem. The picture is crappy. I'm too lazy to make a good one when it's unnecessary. The gray thing is supposed to be a spring.

I have an idea for this. Have it so the piston takes in some air from the tank and seals, then have the piston move so that air goews out of the barrel. Basically an arlock, letting parts of the air out at a time.
