is that the toro one? i saw those in home depo and was wondering the same think, though i figured you cant because the solonoid isnt usually where the blowgun would have to be... the hole where the solonoid screws in would make too large an opening for an airtight 1/4" fitting to go into.

I'm sure you can mod it, you'll just have to work around the solenoid (Not Motor). The real question is it worth messing with, I don't think it is. (unless you have already bought the valve)

If you did already buy it take it apart and post some pics. I would love to help you mod it.

No modding increases the opening time by like, 10 times, and its a solinoid, not a motor.
btw i puled that number out my @ss.

Benny, i think a more accurate number would be about 2-3x faster, just if anyone was wondering. Plus keeping the solinoid is uber expencive; batteries, wires, switches, ect. It ends up just being cheaper, faster, and easier if u mod. As for the ability to mod it: i would take out the solinoid, fill in the blead hole with epoxy, but not the hold that the solinoid is covering. Then i would put in a brushing that fits where the solinoid was and get a little brass nipple to attach a blowgun to the brushing. I have no clue if that would work, just kinda poped into my head.

Take the selinoid off and put your barb there, it should work, I have never look at one in person, but Iam guessing it would work.

that wouldnt work. the solinoid is coving a little hole, and next to that hole is another little hole, the solinoid lifts and the hole it was covering equalizes out the hole next to it. if u didnt cover one of the holes the gun would never fill becasue the valve would just continualsy equilize and never close.

could you just take out the selonoid, drill that tiny hole bigger and thread in the 1/4in nipple?

no you would need to drill the hole located on the side bigger the tiny hole is the one that alows the air to escape from the side hole out if that made any sense

Hmm I could mod it.
I would cut it below the solenoid and handle and use a few bushings and add a blow gun.

I love those Toros. And yes, they are actually rather easy to mod. You just have to work around the solenoid and bend the guide rod.
