Maximum safe pressure limit of Schrader/tire valve?

As per the title, does anyone have any info on what the safe working limit of tire/Schrader valves?

Are the any readily available better alternatives ?

PS Sorry should have asked both valve pressure failure, but also failure if fitted through a hole like in a wheel. Do trucked use regular housings/Schrader valves as they must come under a lot of force?

Thanks

Did you try searching first? Might want to work on your "google-fu" a bit.

For pressure over 500psi, the foster fill nipples used in paintball/ pcp airgun setups are far superior to a schrader valve, and readily available.

i use them to 35-40 bar. it's all about how you fix it to the gun and about the quality. The ones for tractors are far much better...as they come in 2 pieces with 2 tipes of threads, an o rings...etc...and they fit to fire extinguisher ,,,,,,,,

I've used them at ~1000psi regularly. I would not consider it safe, though catastrophic failure is unlikely. Just don't put your hand right next to it when pressurized.

This also requires that you keep the internal seals very clean, as any dirt or grime will damage the gasket if it gets squeezed against it under pressure.

Here
As people have already pointed out they are 'safe' to use to far above what they are recommended for, but as far as the pressures they are rated for that is an 'official' schrader data sheet if you wanted specifics.

Just be sure to identify the right valve core you are using, and the data assumes that the limiting factor is the valve core itself as opposed to the valve stem.

A schrader valve failure on the pilot side of an exhaust valve setup could result in sudden firing of the launcher, definitely not safe. On the other hand, I have never seen such a failure on the forum and have myself regularly used automotive schrader valves to 850 psi with compressed air and several thousand psi with hybrids and have never experienced failure or even leaks.
