piston valve sealing?
i just made my first piston valve cannon. i am having a bit of trouble finding somthing that i can put on the piston that will seal up against the barrel. Any idea of somthing i can use or where to find it? i hav gotten shots of using just regular rubber from a bike tube but after a few shots it just goes to shit.

I would just go to your local hardware/ranch supply store (Home Depot or Lowe's) and look around of some rubber sheet. Most hardware stores have some rubber sheet for making gaskets it seems to work pretty well.

I bought something called a Quick Cap (or something like that) at Home Depot. It's just a rubber cap with a hose clamp around it that fits over the end of a piece of pipe. They come in various sizes and cost around 3 or 4 dollars. I cut one down into a rubber disc that fits the front my piston.
