That will be exteremely hard to meter out the propane!!!! Think how small your meter pipe would have to be. Ignition could be one of the Glow Plugs that people use for their RC planes and cars. You could mount it where ever you want as long as you use teflon tape or o-rings.

i thought those Glow Plugs only worked with Nitrous. Seems like it would be too small to be worth a Hybrid system, you won't even see the ammo com out of the barrel.

It's not really "Nitrous" that RC cars use, it's Nitro, and there is a difference, Nitro is an Oily Fuel Substance while Nitrous normally = Nitrous Oxide = "NOS"
I have used a glow plug in a model engine, but I'm not sure what it did, I know in Diesel truck engines it's used to heat the fuel mixture if it's cold, but I'm not sure if it actually ignites it... Nitro ignites when it gets really hot, so I'm not sure if glow plugs actually make sparks at all...

yes good idea a didn''t think of that. i actually race RC Monster Trucks and i have a tap and die set for rethreading cylnder heads. the propane will be metered into a 2" x12 inch sch 80 pipe capped at either end. then i will will it with the right air pressure and then connect it to the cannon via a Aircompressor Quick disconnect. Can i use the standard galvinized fittings you get at home depot? arent they rated to a couple thousand PSI. and what pressure can a female quick disconnect hold?
