I was shooting my cannon. yesterday, and I got 7-9 seconds of hang time at 10 psi. at 120 psi, do you think I could get 30 seconds of hang time ? the GGDT says the cannon is capable of shooting a mile, so I think it's possible if the cannon is aimed straight up. has anyone ever gotten 30 seconds of hang time ?

Use GGDT to find it out, click External Ballistics Calculater and set the angle to 90degrees then look for impact time, Id say youd probly get 30s hang time just off 100psi.

I've gotten 40 sec of hangtime using a golfball out of my combustion. I'm sure it's possible. Play with different projectiles, barrel lengths, etc...

Use GGDT to feed data into the Launcher range calculator. The reason for this is that the launcher range calculator can handle more variables, thus be more accurate.

^^lol. Depens on a ammo because with a paintball barrel pneumatic at 60 psi i made a parafin/ wax bullet like projectile that i shot and it disapeared so when i made the second one i painted it black i got 45 sec of hangtime. A good projectile is aerodynamic, airitgt in the barrel, and has a pretty good weight, too much weight wont get you far. Regular marbles will get you 30 sec of hangtime with the correct barrel at 50 psi. I hope this helps you, peace.

Perhaps his rockets are only margianaly stable, and are turning sideways (and thus increasing their drag) on the way down?
