Is it better to have a larger pilot size on a piston valve or a smaller one. I am rebuilding my piston valve on my cannon and am wondering. any feedback, info, or advice would be greatly appriciated.

Smaller.
Can be vented faster, therefore a faster activation time since the force as a result of the air pressure will drop faster.

Smaller pilot + larger vent = faster actuation = better performance
