I am going to build a hybrid. All Sch 80. Pneumatics and combustions are boring me easily,even at 140 psi. I need a challenge.

Ok... but hybrids are not THAT much more of a challenge to build than a complicated combustion or hybrid. Have you built large piston valves, or made an advanced ignition?

Anyways, for a hybrid, make sure to focus on making your solvent welds PERFECT. With a combustion, and even a pneumatic, you can sometimes get away with shoddy solvent welds. Not a hybrids though.

yeah just be carefulwith these. When you mess up a hybrid you dead and may i sugest remote stungun ignition.

As said by boogieman: If you mess up on a combustion or a pneumatic, you are out a few dollars. If you mess up on a hybrid, you are dead.

I don't want to waste money on my basic combustions by using a spark strip Ill use that on my hybrid.

Have you decided on any dimensions yet?

I think if I make a hybrid it'll be all galvanized steel, just as a precaution. I'd advise you to use screws to attach joints together as well as solvent welding but that might weaken it?

What will allow for more chance of a leak. and the screws could fly out. then you would really be screwed

Or you could use bolts with nuts that go all the way through the fitting on the other side. And leaks are easily fixed with sealant or epoxy.

how do you gets the nuts on when the cap covers the hole.

Solvent weld everything, then drill holes and put in the bolts and nuts.

Hmm, I want to model it after boogie mans hybrid,but my version will be my style.
I am going to have remote ignition and onboard.
I take risks.

1.5" barrel for launching modified steel pegs.
3" chamber. Onboard propane/air.

my way would have 3 nuts Cause I am a proffesional at overlooking simple ideas. 2 inside one outside but yourr way would work just as well
