Im not sure how the sprinkler valve works or how to set one up. I have looked at pictures and studied them. I went to the hardware store, baught a sprinkler, and tried to make one, and it was letting air threw at a quick pace. Can someone tell me the correct way of setting up a sprinler valve ingition system?

All of the sprinkler valves at my local hardware stores have guide rods, can I still mod it even though it has one? thanks

Exactelly what images have you looked at? Have you looked at the one that shows you how to mod one? (search how-to's for Modding Sprinkler Valves)
Also your above posts used to be 2 topics, I merged them into 1. I know you can mod ones with guide valves, but i'm not sure about how myself, someone should reply telling you how.

One more question, which is the best, 1 inch, 1.5 inch, or 2 inch sprinklers?

Well if you can get a sprinkler larger than 1", that's great.
The bigger the sprinkler=the more flow.

Hi there! I'm starting to build my own pneumatic as well. Seems there are three ways to trigger it with a sprinkler 1) electric via switches and 3x 9V batteries in series 2) Bleed Valve manual trigger 3) Moddified sprinkler with blowgun trigger in place of solenoid.
I'm told that not having a guide rod like in the Orbit Watermaster makes it easier to mod. But there are apprently instrucitons out there to mod even if you have the rod.

dont you take out the guide rod and epoxy the hole and heat up a needle and poke it through the epoxy to make a small equalization hole or something??zerodivide wrote:Hi there!
