Hey Schultz here Im New so please bare with me. A person I know made a Flak 88 Replica for a ww2 airsoft fight, so Id like to show off a Flak 88 that can fire blank rounds. I would like to make a Flak 88 replica out of PVC which isnt much a problem, though making a mechanism that takes A shell, and power source in the back. And when you open the latch door, the shell drops out. I dont want to shoot anything but maybe flower or some white or grey powder (you know for effect). I just want to know how I can make it do this and make a loud boom. So I basically wanting to scare the Crap out of the airsofters in the distance. Please, Please if someone knows how to do this can you tell me how and the cost Im lookin at? THanks so much Happy to be aboard!!!

You are basically building this
http://www.boltsniper.com/BS-1/BS1.htm with this type of shell ejection
http://www.boltsniper.com/BS-5/BS5.htm.
I don't see why you just want to shoot blanks. I would want it to shoot something other than dust. On the FAR, the shell ejection takes a while to build but it's really cool after you do. I spent about 2 hours straight just playing with mine when I finished that part.

A Flak 88 is a massive german artillery weapon, I will breach load from the top but I want to know if its possible to slide out the huge breach tube and load a shell, when fired bring it back out take it out and put in a new one.

PS Thanks for trying.

not sure how you want to make a boom as the discussion of solid propellents is against the rules on the forum but if it only makes a noise and doesnt fire anything im not sure, ask a mod.

Thanks Frank, I actually like to know if I can use a pneumatic cannon that can use artillery size pvc rounds to shoot a nerf football out of them but not shoot the shell its self. Then when the back latch is opened the shell slides out and you reload. If I can get some Ideas or suggestions thatd be great.

what about this...
the barrel is 3' long of 2 1/2" pvc then after the 3' it goes down to 2" pvc and you make a sabot for the nerf ball out of anything that fits snug inside 2 1/2" pipe and put the nerf in that and when it fires the sabot shoots up with the nerf and hits the 2" pipe and the nerf carries on through the 2" but the sabot hits the 2" and falls back down and you could have some kinda breech to take the sabot out.

the sabot would have to have minimal fritction on the inside and same with the nerf but then it might just shoot the nerf out?you may have to make a few smaller prototypes first. ill update this with a pic soon.

Could you use cam lever couplings for the breach? I don't know much about them but I think they might work.
