200+ psi valve ?

ok i want to make a gun but has like a steel chamber and can hold like 200 psi for huge shots.. i was wondering if their any valves that could hold it... because a sprinkler can only do like 125..

a homemade one i was thinking ? if u got any ideas plz post them so i could get to work on this

Look for ASCOs on ebay. Dont get a fuel/gas valve they are like 15 PSI.

First question is, what's your air source? A 200psi compressor is expensive.

I don't see any reason why you couldn't build a barrel-sealing piston valve entirely out of metal components. It can hold as much as the lowest-rated part, if properly built.

Otherwise, an industrial QEV or a big metal spring-actuated ball valve would work.

Just some ideas.

get a ballvalve rated for steam, they are good for 600psi, its what i use

well i wanted a valave so i could hook a blowgun up to it to look more like a trigger than just a dorky ball valve (sorry) lol but yea..

maybe if you build like a piston valve with all parts 200 psi rated. but your going to need a realllly strong piston and a very strong spring to go behind it.

Nah, no spring needed if you make it a barrel seal and do it right, go with the all metal idea but I'm just wondering if neoprene would hold up to that pressure or would it just shred?

lol whom nows ?

i want it to look like a sniper rifel when done though but shoot ithor a 1" barrel or smaller for screws/nailes because i can get like millions so i wont have to wory abbout ammo.. but i want it verry powerful lol
