Is 4 inch 8mm thick electrical conduit pressure rated? Its all I can find:(

Don't belive it is, cause lets think. Why would electric pipe need to hold pressure?

Well sdr21 can be found in the conduit section, Yet thats rated to 200 psi.

But it isn't meant as conduit, it is meant for irrigation.
If it doesnt have a rating, then it isn't rated.

Since its not intended for piping it won't be pressure rated.
However those fizzy drink bottles you see in some ghetto designs aren't pressure rated either.
Neither was the steel broomhandle I used for a 100psi air chamber on my first cannon with uber-ghetto fittings made of flame melted plastic.

Yeah the "fizzy" drink bottles or soda bottles are pressure rated to somewhere around 100psi give or take.
And wow you used a broom handle for a cannon! Yeah just becuase some one did it and they didnt get hurt doesnt mean its safe.

Its entirely your own call to use non-pressure rated stuff, thats why I didn't suggest anyone else did it.
...and like you said without saying, some items have a pressure rating that isn't stamped on the side.
I'd trust quite a lot of inflexible watertight metal piping to 100psi and higher personally.

There's a difference between a rating and what it will take.
Plastic bottles aren't rated - period.
However, they are usually safe for 100 psi, as I think they fail a little over 200 psi depending on design. They will also tear instead of becoming shrapnel.
If it hasn't got a rating on the side, that means it's not rated - but it might take a sensible amount of pressure.

Ok people metal is metal. It can take pressure, I mean come on this is
what people have made swords out of for more than 3000 years.
Granted it may not be rate for pressure, but still if it is metal it will take
pressure. If you want to heat treat it to harden it more.

Metal is metal - yes. Tin foil is also metal - who wants to try a tin foil chamber?
Sensible metal will take a decent pressure, but the problem is about plastic, not metal.
If killagorrila was talking about 8mm thick copper, aluminium or steel, then this topic wouldn't exist - would it? 8mm steel would easily stop a bullet at point blank range - electrical conduit wouldn't.
Killagorilla, I doubt that pipe would be safe for pressure. Can you use nothing else?
