g'day fellas

so i've stumbled upon the use of blow guns as triggers/vlaves in pneumatic cannons.

i have a few questions.

1. i've seen blowguns sticking out of solenoid valves, why's that?
2. can/do blowguns act as stand-alone valves? what psi can they handle?
3. is their any way to use a blowgun as a trigger/valve in the case of the cahmaber and breech as found on a solenoid sniper rifle, while still maintinaing the ergonomics of the stock design?

cheers

1. its to make the solenoid valve open faster its called pneumatically modding the valve, and theres a tutorial for it on this site
2. they are a valve, but the flow is terrible for large guns, i use them on my bb guns though with good results.
3. you can use it for the trigger, just mod a solenoid valve and run hose from the modded port in your solenoid to the blowgun, and mount the blowgun where you want it for a trigger

blowguns come in lots of different psi ratings, just check the back of the box and it should say, u will need at least a 125psi rated blowgun

some say dont use over 25 psi or some shit like that, all you need to do is take off the tapered nozzle of the blowgun, you can still have an input pressure of about 125 psi with no problems

When i use ones that say use only 30 psi and under for over like 90 they start leaking after wards, and i have to take it apart, wipe everything clean and put it back together.
