no combustion chamber?

i have seen some cannons without a combustion chamber just a barrel
does anyone know if they work? ive heard they shoot 200+ yards

You're talking about a thing called a "pipe." AS far as I know, they can't shoot things very far, but that's me, what do I know?

Maybe you are talking about a coxial cannon.
They are actualy pnuematic...

yeah we used those things as artillary in the older wars

they often were hauled on wood carts and powered by blackpowder

Well their is a chamber only its the same size as the barrel.
relatively bad performance.

Actually coaxials can be combustion or pneumatic. it is just that people only like pneumatic ones.

I think he means just a pipe with a cap on the back. You could get ok performance but probably not 200 yards

Not even close to 200 yards. Maybe 200' to 100 yards.
