How it works is the same way a hydraulic arm works. Now I no your going ok thats cool but what would you use it for? Well what Ill use it for is to adjust the vertical projectory on my almost completed hybrid. Here is a picture of how it works.

The red thing is the pneumatic arm and is capable of shorting and extending. Green thing is just sometype of a stand that allows the cannon to pivot at the pivot point. The pneumatic arm will be constructed out of 2" sch 80 and 1.5" sch 40.

CONSTRUCTION:
Parts List: Picture Color:
1x 2" sch 80 pipe - - -Green
1x 1.5" sch 40 pipe - -Pink
1x 2" cap - - - - - - - -Red
1x 1.5" cap - - - - - - -Blue
1x 1/4 to schrader - - Yellow
2x I bolts - - - - - - - -Gray
First tap the I bolts into both caps. Then glue the caps onto the pipes that they fit in. After that tap the schrader vavle into the side of the cap threw both the cap and the 2"sch 80. Once complete slide both of them together and enjoy!

With the weight of the barrel pushing down on the arm and no pressure inside of it will look like this.

But after you pump it up it will start to extend (the more air= the farther it will extend)
