Would this design work?

Hey guys, Another paintball rpg thread..... I just painted this up and I had a few questions about it.
The breach cover....what size pipe would this be?
Gonna be using this
http://www.rei.com/online/store/Product ... rn=4500856
( hope to get it tomorrow )
Any suggestions before I go shopping at lowes tomorrow?
UPDATE: I went out and bought everything but they gave me a wrong fitting.... So all i have to do is cement everything together( I have already made the control box and wired up the valve)!
I decided against the breech loader part, but i might just put a ball valve in combination with a tee to replace the top 90* so I open the ball valve, load it, then fire it. When I finish I will post pics.... I have to go now.

Well i dont see why it wouldnt work althought you may want to put the valve just before the breach that way there wouldnt be any dead space but since your not really aiming for power/destruction it should be fine.

for your breach cover use a 2" coupler and sand out the ring in the center and a little bit on the inside

would that be long enough?

If not just JBweld or epoxy two couplers together.

If you're shooting nerf rockets, probably not, unless you can fit them through a hole smaller than the length of a 2" coupling. (Assuming that you have a 2" barrel, since thats what most people use for paintball RPGs)
I would say muzzle load it, or get a 2" compression repair coupling.

looks like a good design that should work. Only one question: what is that thing sticking out the top of your chamber (looks like a pop off valve) and why do you need a pop off valve for this cannon?

Saftey mate, never can have too much of it.

but 2 blow off valves? seems a bit excessive!

I only see two things sticking out, but one of them is his filling valve. (Schrader, Quick Connect, etc..)
Edit: I see the third thing, sticking off the top of the chamber and not the endcap. Pressure gauge probably.

OK cool, not very good drawing i guess. LOL! Imagine a chamber with like 30 blow off valves on it... it could look pretty cool! LOL! what a waste.
In that case, nice design spudkilla!

I wonder if you overpressurized it would they all go off?
