Nor should it be risky to use. Honestly.
sex is risky too, I mean, she could make a baby, and they are much more expensive than computer stuff, but we all still have sex, we use protection (ie password) but the risk is still there. I vote yes, disable it.

how would restricting words that start with a b and end with an H prevent spyware? This has nothing to do with sending files or receiving files..

What does word censoring have to do with spyware? Not to pick on ya jrrdw, but anyone with any decent computer knowledge would know word censoring has nothing to do with downloaded files.

I agree with jrrdw, it is better to be safe than sorry.

This feature only prevents words that have the letter b and then an h after it. It has nothing to do with security at all!

The only reason that its there is so that you can't say BITCH, it has nothing to do with spyware or anything like that. When you type something into the chat, are you sending spyware? NO, so how would another word do that?

Really? I thought this whole argument was about whether links could be posted or not?

no, its links that have b and then an H after it... or any word for that matter.

words like:
both
boltheads
birth
biotechnologies
biomechanical
biohazard
beneath
behold
behave
bash
banished
ballhandling

etc.. doesnt even have to start with a b... it can be photobucket/h190/

or

It's only the links that I protest. Just wanted to clear that up. My self, I wont open any posted, they have been posted in chat room before. But it's still best to be safe then sorry because of the cost of computer/s and parts, not to mention the kind of worms that use address books to go and get every one you have there.

If links are allowed to be posted in the chat room I strongly suggest if you don't know the member, don't open the link. It's as simple as that.
