Nothing is wrong with ignoring, and exactly that is what most senior members will end up doing with your posts.

We're sick of people posting with bad grammar, this isn't bloody MSN. Can't you just at least type coherently? I probably can type faster then you with proper grammar then you can with TXT slang no one understands.

It may not seem like a big deal having members ignore you, but when it's the most knowledgable members on the forum ignoring your ideas or questions, you will start to realise how important spelling and grammar is on this forum.

You also may realise, not one senior member posts with bad spelling and grammar, don't expect to be the first because it ain't no coincidence.

While this may work some places I could see it as a bigger pain when the poster answers a question you've asked or actually contributes something worth sharing.

EDIT-maybe a system like youtube uses for comments marked as spam where you can see the comment if you wish too, or if lots of members mark it as bad grammar etc...

While talking about updating the site I usually type my post then reread it for grammar and such and add smileys when I'm doing that. The smileys always go to the bottom of your post rather than where your cursor thingy is at.

@maggotman
if i went threw every post and made it relay good i would never get to the point
This can be managed by posting JUST the point  , or taking a fourth grade grammar class.

also was i blocked from visiting the forum today when ever i tried to visit it i got a server not found message and was only able to access it just now :?
Take a good look at the post above. Not a capital letter or punctuation mark to be found. Also misspellings are highlighted.

Do you really think the word "really" is spelled "relay"? You spelled it that way twice. Yes, you should think about what you say, its context, its spelling, its grammar and that it is informationally correct. I do it, others do it, you should as well.

The website was down for everyone today...you weren't specifically "blocked".

Edit: Oops I see you did correctly capitalize "English". Some credit back...

now by no means are we saying you have to have perfect grammer. but atleast make some what of an effort to get your messages across clearly,

Now, I made a few mistakes in that above post, but still readable and understandable.

Just so we are clear, you need work on getting your point across. Having frequent spelling errors, frequent grammatical errors, and lack of periods and commas will get you in trouble. Also make sure to separate your thoughts with a line break.

Spud gunning already has a reputation for being the hobby of stupid-arse teenagers. Encouraging this reputation is the fastest way I can think of to find increasing legal regulation (read: prohibition) of this hobby. The best way to ease legal regulation is to fight the reputation.

How does one fight such a reputation? Easy: By encouraging intelligent discussion, design, and usage of spud guns. While I can make no statements regarding your design and usage of spud guns, I most certainly can make statements regarding your discussion of them. Quite frankly, your use - or rather, lack of use - of proper spelling, capitalization, and punctuation paints you as one with a room temperature IQ. And like it or not, the rest of us will get painted with the same brush if we tolerate such a low common denominator.

So why do your posts infuriate me? Because your posts reflect poorly not just upon you, but upon this entire forum and the hobby as a whole.

Nobody is asking you to be perfect. None of us are and certainly we use a fair bit o' the ol' vernacular from time to time. Still, most of us put a concerted effort into posting in a manner that is understandable by everyone. It is clear that you do not put such effort into your posts.

Please do so.

See my signature for evidence of his intelligence. Also, this is the guy that hooked up fridge compressors in series like scuba pumps, wants to use pipe at 300 psi over it's working pressure...et cetera et cetera..

Maggotman, I think you just simply need to take a second to think before you post, and before you hit the submit button. When you misspell words, most of the time people can work it out, albeit annoying. When you use the words out of context, and use little grammar or punctuation it becomes difficult and incredibly hard to read.

Honestly, it can't be that hard. As far as I know, me and Sticky Tape are younger than you, yet in my opinion our posts seem perfectly legible.

And for the sake of off-topic, SpudFiles was also offline for me yesterday.

That signature makes me think that English may not be his first language. There's just too many odd basic grammatical omissions or additions.

Where are you located Maggotman?
