i started to be a active member after the competition that clide won.
i have a question about this.. is it on a regular basic (?) like one time a year or has it been only one?

One offical contest that PCGUY held. One unoffical that is over June 1st.

So to answer your question, there is no official annual contest. That was just a 1-timer PCGUY had.

Yeah there should be another one some time.
Though who is going to pay the 125$ prize money?

There should be more "official announcements" on the front page.
That contest wich clide one and the RIP right gaurd things are there already for such a long time....
I think its time for a new one.

A $125 prize really isn't very much considering how many active members we have. We should be able to raise a few hundred in prize money for a summer competition.

And what's up with the sig spudfarm?

i am agree with DYI $125 is not much if PCGUY makes a thread to get people donate a few bucks.

I paid the last winnings myself, I would like to again sometime but that is obviously hard to do too often. It has been discussed before about members donating things (parts, etc) for a winner but I don't think enough people ever came up with enough stuff to make a contest.

Plus, I can't hold a huge contest too often. Only so many people here have the ability to build a good enough cannon to enter big contests, I have to allow a good bit of time between large contests for people to come/go/design/build/innovate/etc.
Yes, I am the guy that owns & operates SpudFiles (along with our extremely helpful moderators).
