Plain and simple!

Who want's what?

If I missed a catagory, PM it to me don't post about missed catagories!!!

The number of votes for each catagory is to get a idea of intrest in that catagory.

Each member can only vote once thats all the format allows and keeps it fair.

Have a great day! :D

i'd like to see a ghetto contest, although there aren't quite as many ghetto cannons compared to the other types

I think we should just have another universal Spudfiles contest, stop with these small unofficial ones and do something proper which will get a lot of attention.

The Spudfiles contest should be for all categories, we can always split them up and have an 'open' category as well like I stated in the Spudfiles Contest thread.

If your combustion or BBMG is really that good, there is no reason why it can't beat a huge ass pneumatic. And if it doesn't, well then the huge ass pneumatic is probably just better.

And if there is a new concept or a cannon that shows a lot of innovation, again I can't see why it couldn't beat a huge-ass pneumatic.

I know a lot of people think BBMG's and what not don't stand a chance, but maybe they're just not as innovative as some other cannons out there. Pneumatics may have more possibilities, I know the chances of me winning are very very, almost impossibly small if I entered anything because of the price of PVC and what not.

Shouldn't I then be entitled to want a category for cannons made with a small budget or limited materials? Because that's pretty much the same thing as splitting the competition up into specific categorys for BBMGs or combustions so the builder has a higher chance of winning something.

The winner will be judged by trusted and senior members, so there should be no biasism or reason why the judges would pick a standard but huge pneumatic, over an innovative BBMG.

It's for the catagories listed, not any sub catagories like what cost more.

Are you just trying to find out how many people will enter something in one of those categories? I think it's best if we just start the competition and then people can figure out what they're building if they haven't already.

It doesn't matter if we have 1 entry under BBMG's or 100.

After reading the latest post in the SF contest thread, I want to find out how many members are really into the not so popular bbmg's and such.

Yes I think we sould have maybe one or two winners for each category then maybe one or two over all winners, for someone who made a mini ghetto combustion machine gun MGCM (probably wouldnt happen though).

I don't mind separating the contest as long as we:

1) Have an open division. If you enter this division you cannot enter any other division as this division will have the main prize.

2) The other divisions like BBMG and Combustion etc, each have a winner, but the prize is more minor.

Like the prize for the open division could be $100, whereas the prize for each separate division would only be about $25.

Interest in ghetto cannons is pretty much an oxymoron for the more hardcore spudders.

I mean yeah, make one from random stuff because you can but having a dedicated interest in suspect cannons?

Pneumatics (that are not ghetto). I love the mechanisms that can be run with compressed gas systems. The potential for them has barely been scratched in spudgunning.
