Entry Fee - $6 via Paypal ($5 will be used towards contest, extra $1 is for Paypal fees).
Paypal account is not required. If you do not have a debit or credit card to use with Paypal, please PM me for other arrangements. If you have any other special entry fee circumstances, please PM me and we will discuss it.

Details:

All contestants must have their entries submitted to PCGUY via PM or Email no later than September 1st for the Innovative Contest, and October 31st for the Most Power contest. Contestants are urged not to share any sensitive information regarding their build on the forum, because once the entries are sent to me they are going to be given numbers (or names if you have a name) and the owners will be kept a secret until the end. During the week after the 1st, the judges will judge the entries all anonymously to bring it down to a final 4 contestants. The judges will consist of all active SpudFiles moderators and sponsors, along with a few handpicked highly qualified forum members (unless you enter into the contest, then your judging rights become null).

From there, each judge will score every cannon, and the scores will be averaged for the official "Judges Score". The highest overall scoring 4 contestants in each of the 2 brackets will be put up on SpudFiles for a week long user voting session, where the users get to pick who will win 1st and 2nd for each bracket.

-Most Power (penetration test)
This contest has been extended. Deadline for the Most Power contest is now October 31st. Get ready for some spooky power!

Build a spud cannon or BB gun that can shoot through as many pieces of 3/4" plywood as possible. Plywood sheets must be securely spaced 6" apart. This setup is somewhat similar to the Box-O-Truth setup.

The spud cannon must be...
-Held by hand or mounted while firing
-Made with PVC or ABS (this is for the chamber, metal valves and other components can be used but chamber can only be sleeved with more PVC or wrapped with fragmentation resistant material, no metal)
-Able to hold together after 1 shot (cannon may not self destruct)
-Use no solid propellants

And must...
-Shoots any projectile you wish though as many healthy (NOT rotten!), 3/4" sheets of standard construction plywood that it will penetrate through when separated 6" per sheet.

Full video proof is required for this contest. The plywood shot at must be inspected sheet by sheet closely with the camera, and thickness must be measured on camera as well. Detailed damage shots must be taken as well to verify number of penetrated sheets. Cannon must be shown in detail in video as well. Cannon may NOT self destruct during firing! It must remain fully in-tact.

Prize - 2nd place $200 gift card from UltimateSpudGun.com

Scored On
-Penetration Power (20 pts max)
-Ammo (15 pts max)
-Cannon Size vs Power (10 pts max)
-Quality of build (5 pts max)

I am very sorry but the Most Power contest has been cancelled. The number of members who told me they would enter did not, leaving not enough members to hold a contest. I guess this idea just wasn't popular enough.
