Googled spud guns after hearing them mentioned on mythbusters. Man, I love that show.

I found it through Nerfhaven.com.

Quite a few people from there are members here (not surprisingly).

I joined spudfiles before spudtech, stayed with the latter because it was not a public forum. When that shut down, I had no choice but to migrate, and I don't regret it one bit :)

Unfortunate accident with an irrational particle accelerator, a liquid lunch, and a pair of rubber bands.

me and a friend build a primitive spud gun using a freon tank as a combustion chamber and lacking the know how to make a proper ignitor we simply drilled a hole in the side and held a lighter close and it would make a whistle noise then bang anyhow the power was lacking so we looked around on the internet on how the other people triggered their spud guns and then we stumbled across this site. of course this was back in 2006 when I did not have internet access at home (we only got internet this year  ) so then when we finally got internet I joined I can't believe I remembered the address after all these years

I stumbled upon the results page from a Spudfiles build contest (back when there were actually entrants in the contests...) while looking for information on piston valves for launchers. By that point I had already found a few spudding-related sites, but this was by far the best I came across.

I didn't join or start posting until a few months after that. I'm still happy that I didn't choose a username which I would later regret...
