Virus from Spudfiles?

Microsoft Security Essentials keeps reporting that my computer is infected when I visit SpudFiles. It gives the error details: Trojan:Win32/Bamital.E
I can remove and quarantine the virus but it comes back again and again so long as I'm on this site. I know next to nothing about computers... is there anyone else who experienced this or knows how to help?

Do you have any antivirus? Or else, windows detects it and sends you lots of false virus messages to get you to install theirs .

Seems it isn't just Spudfiles. I'm getting alerts from Security Essentials even when my computer is offline. (On a different one now... further proof it's not from here)
Anyone know how to remove it? I haven't found much info on this virus.

I've had something similar in the past.
The reports were caused by the trojan itself...trying to get me to click a link and download MORE and likely worse stuff.
Norton antivirus didn't catch it, and couldn't find it. I ended up installing AVG free, which caught it and removed it.
If you can, it'll be simpler to download AVG onto a jump drive or similar using another computer. Then install from the jump drive.
Another program I use occasionally is Malaware bytes...also free.
Remember to update before you scan.

I've never had any problem with spudfiles....And there are some viruses that actually imitate microsoft security software...I had one of those once. It kept popping up a bubble in the lower right corner of my screen saying that it had detected a trojan. and the software that said that was actually the one with the virus...

Yea, i get the fake windows ones. The thing i like bout windows is ive never gotten an actual security message from them,so i know theyre all fake

It's likely the stuff PCGUY has no control over, but I got a livetime report a while ago for a trojan. Removed it and went on my way, didn't catch it again when browsing spudfiles.
geardog32, malwarebytes anti-malware doesn't do real-time protection/blocking, so I doubt it would help much for this specific problem (although it's scan capabilities are legendary, if a bit slow...)
EDIT: the rogue anti-virus malware is especially annoying. My mom and my sister both got a version on their computers, and weren't able to remove them. When my sister gave me her laptop after buying a new one, I just installed TinyXP.

It's not on Spudfiles, it's on your computer. Since you have a safe on to use search Microsoft data base for that exact name and you can print out the instructions follow the step by step to get it out.
If your using IE# for your browser make dam sure it's running in potected mode.

security essentials is a good anti virus, im using it right now... i used to use windows one care which was by far the BEST anti virus prog. i have no issues with spudfiles.
so, as mentioned above, the issue is most likely on your side

Another +1 for Malwarebytes, and does have real-time protection if you decide to pay for it.
