SpudFiles Wiki Information

I understand that the Wiki has been having a few issues recently. Mainly login issues, then editing issues which I discovered today.
I have upgraded the Wiki (it has a slightly sleeker look now) and the login seems to be working.
Please, feel free to login to the Wiki using the "Login" button on the top right-hand corner of the page. It just takes your normal SpudFiles login to use the wiki. Once logged in, you have access to create and edit any pages you see on the Wiki.
Also, please let me know if you find any problems. Thanks!

LOL! Ok that was decently funny. Feel free to add the leaky Cobra Striker's breech seal to that page as a great example of what NOT to do.

Pardon my lack of wiki knowlegde, but can someone enlighten me as to how one creates new pages (there isn't a page for epoxy

), as well as uploads images to the wiki?

Enter the page name in the search function, then hit
Create the page "Insert name here" on this wiki.
There is actually a page for Epoxy, but it's empty. Just go there (again, via search) and hit edit to start.
On the latter problem, I'm not sure PCGUY has given basic Wiki accounts the Upload permission. (I've never tried.)
But if he has, then instructions are here:

Yep, I somehow managed to create it in the meantime
Is it possible to embed images that have been uploaded on the forum?

Remember to create a link to the page in the proper place in the menu system or related page. Otherwise, the page won't be found without a search.
I have not had any problems uploading photos to the Wiki pages. I was able to post piston and o ring photos.

Naturally.
How did you embed/upload the QDV pics?

Let's find out...
Yes, it is possible.
Upload the pic.
Post the post.
When the post opens, and you see the box with the pic in it, click on the pic. That opens the pic in another tab.
Now copy the url of that separately opened pic, and use the image tags to include it in a post.
On edit: D'OOHHHH !! this is about embedding pics in the wiki pages.
Sorry.
JUST before I posted this, I read a thread about embedding pics in posts. Hence the confusion on my part.

At the moment, I don't remember. I haven't posted pics in a while. I think I used the embedded file button. It prompts for the file to upload to embed. Resize your photos for the page first before uploading.

Not getting any prompts
edit: how does one delete a page? I made one for
"chronograph" that basically replaced the
"chronometer" with the correct term, but the latter page is now superfluous.

Thanks PCGUY! Seems to be working just fine now.
By the way guys, a long time ago I put couple pages up there specific to piston hybrids that I never linked anything to. They're unfinished and I lost the diagrams I had for them, so feel free to edit the crap out of them since they are probably kinda out dated anyway.

Jack, create a redirect on the superfluous page to the correct one. Just delete the content and add:
#REDIRECT [[pagename]]
To add images, upload them to the wiki, note the file name, and use the embed button in the editor [[File:imagename.jpg]]. All you need is the file name, no paths.

I just updated the wiki page on valve CV. I kept it brief and linked to the Wikipedia page on valve CV. Critics welcome.
