I want to make one point clear. I apologize in advance for any flame-war this may spark, and I'm not going to read any further replies. All I know is that I warned Bryce and I wish it had not turned out this way.
I think that's exactly the sort of statement that will make kids want to try drugs.
From what I've read, statements like my own have no long-term effect on most people's attitudes about drugs, so you're wrong. I don't think that's a reason to not warn people, though.

I do think using drugs is bad, and I'm not going to hide my feelings when someone I warned dies from a drug overdose. I knew exactly what happened after I read the thread title, and I truly wish I could have prevented Bryce's death. Bryce was a victim. I wrote that because I care.

It is a complete shame that Bryce died, especially at such a young age. And there was a lot of good to his life, especially as he choose the right hobby. But I don't think we should ignore what killed him. This is an opportunity for others to avoid the same fate and live an even fuller life.

Wow!!, Just read this today= I cincerely apologise for this late posting and hope all the best for the guy's family, such a tragic event at such a young age.

Ive seen many of my friends lives ruined by drugs!,Two are on Welfare with severe depression( one tried to kill himself) several others are my age 38 and not had a job in 15 years.

All this from smoking Pot and taking LSD,one was number 1 in school exams( highest achiever) studied at Uni and was briefly a computer programmer he dellved into taking speed and is now another welfare taker with nothing.

I cant really talk because I too was a frequent pot smoker and tried LSD 3 times( that really screwed me up) I met my wife when I was 23 and I gave up all the drugs and smokes but was hard to break the cycle.

Sorry for my rant but ive seen toomany destroyed by drugs :(
