As I read through posts on different topics, I always find myself looking at everybody's signatures. I have seen many funny and applicable quotes about today's society, and was wondering if a "Quote of the Week" straw poll would be possible...I also was kinda hoping the winner would get the ability to have his quote as his signature, even if he didn't previously have one and couldn't afford one i.e. me Takers anybody?

I was going to do a quote of the week thing as my signature, but then I remembered as a lot of the time I am AFK working abroad, it would probably mean it would stay the same for a few weeks and would start annoying people or the like.

But yes I think it is a good idea you should pm pcguy about it, it might liven up the homepage somewhat.

I dont really think its a waste of time since if someone doesnt want to be part of it, they dont have to, if their quote is submitted and wins, they dont have to post it as a sig. But about people who cant afford a sig, I would just let them have the honor of winning, maybe make a list of the winners and their quote.

I say do it, if people wanna look they can, if they choose not to join in on the fun, then so be it!! 8) 8) 8)

Only PCGUY is allowed to transfer "spudbux" anymore, I doubt he would bother with requests like this as he is a very busy man

I think it should go for entire posts, for example picture people post, instead of just a quote. JSR's Sherline Products one was especially funny

I'm not sure caspar's exact idea is something we should do, but he's thinking along the right lines. Any little things to make the forum more interesting would be nice.
One thing I hope the phpbb3 adds is more user profile-related stuff. While I'm not a huge fan of social networking, the ability to use similar features could make things more fun if done correctly.

Agreed. The quickest way to get spudbux is to sit down one night with spudfiles and a bottle of jack daniel's. You'll have at least a couple hundred spudbux in the morning assuming you can spend them before jrrdw logs on.

I respectfully disagree, this will only serve to put you to sleep, and there are only so many spudbux you can get by slamming your head once on the keyboard.

I recommend the bottle of jack daniels be consumed in a social situation, with careful care taken to leave spudfiles logged in before leaving the house, then watch the spudbux accumulate on your return.

Claiming to have a faulty mouse will also allow you to double or triple the amount of spudbux per post.

As to the subject of this thread, I applaud and fear the prospect of a "quote of the day" thread in equal measures.
