Hey guys ive been on spud files for a while now and ive noticed on every thread that you write on it comes up on your home page and when you go into it there are all the threads that you have commented on, i would think it would be a good idea to add a delete button to delete threads that you dont want to be in there anymore, anyone think its a good idea ?

edit: sorry, do you mean you want to delete threads from appearing in the section where it tells you what threads you've posted on or do you mean you actually want to get delete the thread from the forum?
anyone think its a good idea?
Sorry, but no. We don't like repeating ourselves here. No point in answering the question in one of your threads and then deleting the thread so no one else can see it.

You know how many topics there would be on Spudfiles if we all deleted our old threads? Not many.

The purpose of a forum is so that like-minded people can share ideas and educate each other by furthering the understanding of something. Granted that most senior members wouldn't benefit from most of the threads on Spudfiles, without those threads being there in the first place we wouldn't have been able to acquire the knowledge we currently have.

Na Bud thats not what i meant i meant so we could unsubscribe to threads so we dont see them anymore unless we click on the thread again and post in it ... but others can still see them.

Just click the "Stop watching this topic" link at the bottom of the page. You'll have to do it for each thread you want to unsubscribe from but it's the only way.

A delete button for posts would be VERY helpful for accidental double posts and mistakes

We did at one point have a 'delete' button that would show up until someone posted after you. I'm not sure why it was removed.

Select asshats would make extreme vulgar posts/porn/whatever you can think of and leave it up as long as they thought they could (kind of like a game) then delete it so no one would know.

Like... make a post, PM a few buddies to brag about it, then remove it.

Silly yes...
