Where to post?

I'm planning a DIY lathe build and I'd like to document it on here so anyone who wants to learn from my mistakes can.
It won't be a how-to (I've no idea what I'm doing), but more like a build-log. Since it's not a gun, I'm not sure where to put the thread...
