I recently bought a computer fan for my combustion cannon and I wanted to know where the fan goes. Does the fan go on the top of the chamber, in front of the electrodes, or in the back of the chamber, behind the electrodes. Also, if i get ammo stuck in my barrel and the fan is blocking off the chamber, I cant stick a rod through the chamber to the barrel to get it out, how would I get out the ammo?

You want the chamber fan to be postioned in the rear of your chamber. I guess you can get a skinny rod and put it inbetween the fan blades, buy maybe you could mount the chamber fan to the endcap? Then just have batteries mounted to the back of the end cap. I dont think it would lessen the strength of the cap either. (at least not that much)

IF you have it in the endcap you can't have it vent the chamber. It also wouldn't really circulate the air well.

well it depends, some people's are still going after over a year, some are fried within the first day, i havent had much luck with the tiny CPU fans that fit in 2" pipe, but my 3"er is still going strong

yeah i buy the cheezy 80 mm and 120 mm fans and they seem to take a lot of punishment, however i only use propane so im guessing an aerosol can would gum it up a lot quicker.

as for the wires and plastic, it doesnt ever seem to be harmed by the violent explosion of fuel inside the chamber.
