Design Program
I was wondering if anyone could make a program to visually design potao canoons. Basically paint but with all the PVC parts already programmed in to it, so you could just move around pieces to see how they fit. It would make designing that much easier.

i would love to do this, only if i knew the dimensions of every single fitting
to make it easier, y not some graphic artist on this forum make a massive sheet that you can print out, and then cut out, then peice together?

i was thinking of making a sticky where people with rhino 3d and such could model fittings/valves/pipes and other people can download them and use them to design a cannon faster, without having to model the valves and such themselves, anyone think thats a good idea?

you know, i would, except that you can not copy and paste in the trial version of rhino
the most basic and thus the best method to post stuff like a plan is just to have a colour code system for fittings and express size in pixel, 1" = 10 px. kinda like autocad drawings
it just makes things faster, no more labling and misunderstanding
most likely no body will want to stick to that system

I have no experience with the program being talked about, but im sure I can get a registration crack so one could obtain the full version. Just a thought.

I think that any of those ideas would be awesome. I really suck at rhino (it took me many hours just to get my avatar right), so to be able to use predesigned fittings and such would be awesome. Maybe pcguy could even do it in flash or something and then put it up here. He could just make a link on the homepage, and a screen comes up and you have menus for different fittings and sizes and pick what you need and put it together.

I had AutoCAD until my computer crashed and I was forced to dump everything... I mean that thing took me ~30 hours to download.
At any rate, ive also thought of this. Like how do you know the OD of fittings without physically measuring them? So we could do this as a joint effort and make all the possible fittings and simply copy the command line. Ill make one for starters...

i like the idee of the paint thing of atlantis. maybe you coult just make 1 paint drawing whit all the pvc parts on it? ore a lot? it would be awsome. you could use your own spudgun diagrams? i don't know how to make your own things, buth i'm willing to learn it. if some1 els (dutch person plz) could help me? buth
the problem is that i don't know all the diferend pvc stuff. maybe later i will make 1 with coper, and 1 with metal? buth than we have 1 other problem. what if you used you used a lathe ore something to build some stuff:s than it won't work:S
