I admit that an O2 acetylene mix will be super cool for auto combustion.Speciasly if it have valves like in a car.Image

Well i have a oxygen tank that has a burst pressure of 12,000psi this could be moddefied into a chamber for oxy acetylene.

Rambo, if you look at the first post in this topic you'll see a diagram for just what you mentioned - my design uses solenoid operated fill and purge (exhaust) valves and an electronic ignition system which accomplish pretty much what your pic describes. BTW this could also be adapted for use with either Acetylene/air or propane/air mixtures.

rna: keep us posted

I don't think that with air as oxidizer you can get high frequency for your gun(uncool). If we want not more then 1 shot for second we can make auto hybrid wich is better I think.

Using pressurized air you'd be able to fire rapidly. We assume the incoming charge would blow the exhaust gasses out the barrel. Car engines use air and this is basically a similarly fuel injected cylinder without a piston.

Here is a picture of my first rapid fire hybrid attempt.

oxy-acetylene is damn niffty stuff, my aunt, a jewler, uses it to melt gold, and my dad uses it to cut/weld.

Personally i would start off easy, instead of going for auto just make a single fire to expirment with, get the mixes right, right chamber/barrel. I think its a bit strong, but go for it. If all previous inventors took critizim in a negative way, we would never advance. make sure to take pictures, or better make a movie.

I wouldnt try to make heavy barracades around the cannon, it will just add to the schramel (gotta be pestimistic) , instaed have dug-out bunker, really far away.

EDIT: i did some research on oxy-acetylene i found this safty site: http://www.hse.gov.uk/pubns/indg327.pdf i think they covered most of it, and my dad said to make sure you have NO grease/oil on oxygen regulators.

I like your pioneer spirit Alex. Keep in mind If OA is too powerful acetylene and air can be used. Also MAPP gas, butane or whichever is easier to get. While we're brainstorming, I wonder how an automotive fuel injector and gasoline might work (this would of course be used with a steel chamber and barrell). It automatically mixes the fuel and air and lends itself perfectly to electronic controls, which vary the mixture on command.

gasoline is not too powerful of a fuel to be used in a spudgun. My neighbour made a large combustion and used gas in it, he had too rich of a mix though, and he shot an 8 foot fireball out
in the upcoming presidential election, there will be several candidates who will be running, one of whom is Hillary Clinton. Now WAIT A SECOND!!! I though there was some sort of rule that prevented someone from serving more than two terms in office. Vote Against Hillary: Presidential Elections 08

You wouldn't need a steel chamber for gasoline. I recall the Boilingleadbath once said that gasoline has the same amount of energy as propane. And also, gasoline doesn't melt pvc as some people say.

An auto fuel injector would provide the right amount of fuel

propane combusts, acetylene detonates. PVC just cant handle the pressure spike Sch 80 or not. Dont try it with steel either as it cannot handle it either

Mabea try a bad mix

Once again don't be a dumbass

maybe if you just used acetylene w/o oxygen. YOu already have ebought o2 in the chamber, and o2 and acetylene would be a bomb!!!!

I'm not so sure that pvc cant stand a detonation. My mini O2 canon has no problems.I think that it's a question of ticknes.
