I'm not sure if it's my browser, or if the GGDT files are no longer existant, I can download the GGDT executable but not the neccesary files:
MHSCRT20.CAB
&
COMDLG32.CAB

If anybody has a copy of these files and is willing to host, please let me know, I'd rather do it myself then ask for someone to do the calculations for me...

I've been out of the spudgun scene for about 4 years, I used to have GGDT but not anymore and I don't know what happened to it... *sigh*

The GGDT page has links to them... Check the Installation section. It's technically illegal to host components of the Windows operating system.

I don't think those are parts of the operating system. They're probably requirements for whatever VBasic components in the executable.

I *could* package up the OCX files. That's legal and MS explicetly gives consent for such distributions to anyone who develops software with MS Developer's Studio.

The problem is that at the time I wrote GGDT I was having problems finding a ZIP utility with the proper licensing that was free. I decided "to hell with it" and went the route ya'll are familiar with.

Ah yeah, that's right. Thanks for clarifying, and sorry about the confusion.

But that would require that my lazy ass change something that's already working just fine! :D

iexpress FTW!

I used to use that to package up and install my batch file systems. It's pretty versatile, and you could use said batch files to install GGDT in a preset folder on the user's hard-disk as well.

Also, if they're using Vista, you could set the program to automatically run under Administrator privileges (required to run properly on Vista systems).

I might take a crack at packaging GGDT for you if you let me, once I get home from school today (around 1800 H).
