Since its combustion, i dont have a long read time, but i tweaked my gague, so that it jumps up to where it was going and stops, and slowly comes down.
I load about 30 PSI of my propane/oxygen mixture. I've clocked it at 480 before. It has amazing power. I found that the "gun" type caulking tubes shoot REALLY well in a 2" Barrel. I have shot those things from the roof of my house (So i can see over the trees) and found them stuck in the ground close to 3/4 mile away in the fields. I haven't tried golf balls. One reason is when i put reducers and such it can sometimes throw the barrel off the chamber. I had to buy specialty parts for lots of it.

you should post pics of that gun on spudtech.com, i'm sure alot of the people there would like to see an oxy cannon. as for measuring the pressure, why not tap a 1/8" or 1/4"hole in your chamber, and put in a check valve, then on the other end of the check valve put a tee, on one side of the tee have a high pressure gauge, on the other have a ball valve to vent the pressure after getting the reading

I'm not following anything of what your saying, lol. My method works quite wel, it just makes it difficult to reload and fire quickly.

it shouldnt be that time consuming... u dont need to vent it, just inject oxygen and propane, that should take seconds to do.

and post it on my forum too

umm, u mean u blow air from ur lungs into the chamber to vent it, that is fine, theres no where neer enough o2 in ur breath to put ur cannon in danger, its pure o2 thats dangerous
i got connections with the modfia, watch who ur talkin to noob.

blowing with your mouth into the chamber to vent isn't blowing oxygen, its blowing nitrogen and other minority elements into the chamber. Dont use pure oxygen for venting, it works more as a combustion gas than a cleaner. If you want to vent use something like a fan or an air compressor to blow air in.

there is a little o2 in your exhale, thats why CPR does anything, what whould u acomplish if u were just blowing in nothing usfull. but there isnt enough to ignite, theres more in the normal atmosphere

My barrel is 5'
I didn't have the potato sucking back in, it shot really far.
However, for my combustion chamber it is .25" thick clear walls and i'm using a mixture of 1 part pure oxygen burst and 2 parts propane burst. The shot i just did turned the potato into little shreds. I shot a golf ball after that and it shot a very long ways. I hope it didn't hit anything!
(in a hick sounding voice) Well, theres your problem
