Arrows for ammo

Hey there, I went over to my local park on the weekend (there was no one around) with one of my first air cannons, and decided to find out how well arrows work for ammo. Fired at about 50psi and the arrow ended up going over 190 meters. I just thought I would ask if this is a new idea or has it been done before?
