do you really have to bolt on a rubber to the piston or just make a piston using no rubber?

Do you need to use good grammar on a spud forum? No.
Should you? Yes.

Seeing as two PVC or metal surfaces wont seal very nice it requires something to seal it. Although, it doesnt need to be rubber.
