You can't "kick up" a showcase cannon. It's on freaking display, if someone wants to comment that's fine. In other areas I can see the point, but no there.

You go and you fucking delete topics (from say pvc), then turn around and expect me to ban someone because of things that have been deleted. No, it doesn't work like that. Make a copy of the post in the user notes section, then delete it, or something. That's what the user notes section is for.

To be perfectly honest, I think it’s a bit ridiculous that you just poke your head in here to cry about what I do, and then go off to offer a few two liner posts here and there, tossing it up with some longer ones. Don’t take that as a attack on your personality, rather what you’ve done on this sole forum. Ill admit you’ve made a lot more cannons then me, all of which are probably nicer then my nicest cannon. I can say I rarely delete posts until this time. 30 was a exaggeration cause I deleted probably ~10 of "pvc's" and 2 of SpudStuff cause he was picking sh*t to start little fights. I think I can say I was none-bias in my deletion of both personages deletion. pvc's post were deleted because they were trolling and short in length. This was evident since the content was echoing a previous poster or just a 3 word post consisting of "col".

Nope, there is a strange correlation between the level of your grammar with the content and what they contribute. No, its not a golden ratio, but the correlation is evident.

I posted this in here because it seems as if its kinda a "general" forum, although the title clearly states it has to do with spudguns. I suppose I was going with the wood grain on that and should of known not to. About the forum censor... This in itself is another whole discussion, but ill try to cover in a rather short time. I try to use swear words to show emphasis on a given subject, since "crap" and "dang" dont seem to cut it. Not in a insulting manner. I personally separate them into those two separate types, but I would understand if you dont tolerate it in any case, in which I will go back to the reg "crap" and "dang".

PC, Ive built and am going to ship a cannon for 25$ because I give a "crap" about your sites. Its gonna cost me ~15$+ on shipping. And the sprinkler comes up to the total. Still got, all PVC construction, barrel, blowgun, close nipple, pop-off safety, schrader, pressure gauge, and paint. Dont want more money, just dont want you to go out on a limb saying what ive done is for personal interest, rather for the site(s).

What have I learned? Essentially while attempting to be "serious" in this text environment, I have over estimated the affect of being "serious" and am appearing to be a a-hole. Id like everyone to understand that, and in return I will compensate seeing as I mis-judged the effects. Yes, I can self analyze that im a rather stern person. Heck ive only cried less then 5 times in my life, one of the few being at my dads funeral (just to gauge what it takes). I probably cant attempt to be more "nice", but ill sure try to be less "stern".

The age excuse (in relation to english skills) is bull, and everyone knows it, and everyone can type coherently enough that nobody has an issue with it.
Seriously; punctuation and paragraph breaks. That's all that stands between a coherent reply and something that takes 5 minutes to read. (non-english speakers probably veiw it differently)

Not that I delete such posts - typicaly, I end up correcting their grammar, spelling, and breaking it up into nice paragraphs. Or just not doing anything.
(Although it does tend to nudge it that direction; poorly written "that's cool" posts don't have a very good track record)

I'm mostly concerned with content, to tell you the truth. Some recent members here have been... interfering with rational discussion. That has to stop.

Maybe I was a bit angry earlier... let me clarify some things

What I said about the age thing... doesn't mean that those aged people can't speak English. I guess the real thing I was trying to get out is that this is just a web forum, it's not THAT important to get all worked up over. Not every post on here is going to have perfect grammer, it seems like if a member won't type correctly then they should just be ignored, or treated as stupid. No one here not even mods should have to go back and edit someones post to make it readable. If the post is THAT bad then it should just be deleted, and a PM sent to the user saying why it was deleted.

If a user is making stupid posts or whatever pvc was doing, then the post can be deleted on the moderators behalf. However, if it keeps happening then note should be made on that member including the posts, or the mod should contact me about it to look for a better solution then just deleting posts.

To go with what BLB said on kicking up topics, I mean the reply should have to be real stupid to get flamed for kicking something up. It's like some members check dates on posts just to look for a chance to flame someone for it. We encourage members to search and look stuff up on their own, then if they kick the topic up wanting something they get flamed for it. I've seen perfectly good replies "kicking" the topic up get flamed for doing so.

Yes I did give the rules that a moderator has the ability to decide what is should be left and what shoulden't be. However we also have the right to bear arms but we don't walk around with AK-47's. I trust my mods to make a good decision, but when pimpmann made this post comming off as if he's DR on SpudTech going on a mass deleting/locking rampage, I reacted. I want my mods to keep the place clean, but not go nuts... know what I mean?

I think everything will be OK, I checked out the logs, you didn't really delete anywhere near 30 posts. The posts that you recently locked and such I checked out and they were good decisions. I think in your initial post of this thread you sounded like you were trying to be a real hardass, when indeed your not.

As far as the censor thing, I know we're old enough to handle language, however most people on this forum go to school, and school is a place to visit this site (I do all the time). All public schools have to have web filters, and if the web filters start seeing a bunch of language then this site will get auto-banned.

i was kicked off this site about 3 months ago for, posting "that cannon looks wicked as, i am definetly going to use the laser sight idea " buy Pimpman and it was a 6 month old topic but it was in the official cannon section, so i just made a new name , and so people dont post on year old topics in the general section etc couldnt you just make it so it locks automaticly after a certain period of time? and i am not the greatest speller in fact i suck at spelling, so there should be a little more leway with that. and if someone posts something when you click submit it should come up with a window saying what you wrote so if you did make mistakes you can go back and fix them maybe. cheers chosen_way
