The bolt action must be in-line with the barrel. Coaxial and bolt action dont really get along well. For bolt action, I suggest an over-under or inline gun.

Just build a QDV cannon, where the piston is the bolt itself

It can either be springloaded (so mechanical) or unbalanced valve. Personally I think that the unbalanced one would be better.

here, have a look -> http://www.spudfiles.com/forums/viewtop ... tml#324325

a small sear could be hooked up with the trigger... I am sure someone can post a suitable trigger system for it

@Mr.Tallahassee, i was thinking it would be able to shoot ball bearings, bb's , etc. so the pipe would just need to be bent,and not 90 degree elbows.

A gravity feed magazine and an o-ring detent would work better with the bolt action. You could drill a hole and use a pressure rated snap tee with a hollow, o-ring sealed bolt. Now that I notice it, that diagram doesn't make sense.

The QEV exhausts the atmospheric barrel pressure into the chamber through a breech load :toothy10:

Or perhaps, if a blow gun were connected correctly, it would actually work. It would just have horrible flow. Give me five minutes with paint. :wink:

Maybe it's a bit like this but with the curve on the other end ;)

Though it actually does make sense if the QEV is properly configured, the ball valve pilot needs to be at 90º

Here's a more plausible configuration:
