Title edited by MrC: Your original title made it sound like every sprinkler valve cannon was at risk; this is not the case.

Just I little tip don't leave it places where it could get stepped on. Your lucky it wasn't the gun it self that got stepped on the could have ended terribly.

I used to be a spud gunner but then I took a pressure chamber to the knee (that really happened to me) .
Many of us have a story like that to share, it only makes you more aware of the dangers in this hobby.

I once had a spud gun go off in my face but the jam rod saved me it stopped that potato and I only got bits of potato in my face. Reminder put your projectile in the gun before you fill the gun.

Yeah I once had a barrel jam up the pressure shot the barrel off into my back stop lucky didn't hit the fence my dad wouldn't have been happy.

and one my brothers had a party at my house got drunk then found my air gun and started to shoot empty beer bottles in the back yard, they didn't have very good accurately that's for sure my fence looks like swiss cheese.
