Add a voltage multiplier?

Use the output to charge and discharge a capacitor into a HV coil?

that one came up haha.. what i was wondering is anyone able to suggest a substitute or any links to buying a high voltage coil like in the original video? will any transformer work?

Hey guys!
I know this threat actually isn´t for help me posts but i think maybe others are facing similar problems. javascriptemoticon(':?')

After reading this guide i decided to try it myself so i bought a kodak fun saver and withdrew the board. Turned out kodak changed the board´s layout. As it doesn´t look the way described in this threat i´m having problems figuring out where the required circuit is located. javascriptemoticon('')

So maybe someone is able to figure out which pins are to be connected? pictures enclosed

There are only two pins on the capacitor. Seriously, not to be a dick, but if you cannot figure this out you shouldnt be making one.....

i´m not familiar with electrics, sry if my question didn´t make sense to you. i do not really know how to describe it better but, not to be a dick, your post didn´t help me much.
it would not make sense soldering two wires, attached to a spark gap, to the capacitor´s pins since it would not charge, am i right?

where do you get a high voltage coil might i ask ? (probs stupid question but its not very specific...)

Ebay. Search "mini ignition coil".

(HD Photos) :)
Cam Circuit (using only a 1.5 volt Battery)

Spark Gap ( 3R 12A 1300Volts (07) )

And the 0.22uF/mF (224k) 400Volts Capacitor

My Problem is that i dont realy know how the spark gap work :? ( yes i know but a bit) so as i see from the <Hotwired> tutorial he used a spark gap 300 volts and with 2x- but my one have 3x- so how i use it + that's to big in voltage :?: is there anyone who can give me a easy circuit to build for the Battery inverter (like the cam cir) for more power :?:

And about the Transformer , can i use any kind of transformers or should i found a one that fits or works with m circ. :?:

I like to build electronic circ. but im a newby one :) (im not a kid ofc) :D so i hope you will help me with m problems.

Yup but as I said 1300V is way too high.

Look for a 2 pole one with about a third of that voltage rating and it will all work.

The circuit is not designed for a voltage that high, you can see I've specified a 400V capacitor and a 350V spark gap.

A 1300V spark gap does not compute if the circuit output is a maximum of about 600V and the capacitor is rated for 400V.

I don't advise 600V either, the circuit isn't that great at charging to that voltage.

Look for between 200 and 400V for the spark gap. You can see my results with 350V.

As for the coil, mine are salvaged from mini-moto CDI units or battery powered BBQ ignitors.

Both are small high ratio coils. Difference is that one has 3 terminals and one has 4. Slight difference in how you wire them but first get a coil.

Alternatively you get a full size automotive coil because they are very easy to find.

Hi, what difference would it make if I used a 300v .22uF capacitor instead of a 400v one?
What is the purpose of the transistor on the camera circuit? Is it a amplifier?

Thanks in advance
