First this was not designed to be used in a real paintball game just for fun and painting things pink or red or something. Anyway it has 7 sch. 80 3/4" barrels that i put the paintballs in. there is a little dab of jb weld on the end of each barrel to keep the paintball from falling into the back. i used a bunch of epoxy to seal the holes in between the barrels and duck tape to make a perfect fit in the rubber coupler. it shoots out from one of my pnumatic cannons really fast but not as far probably because its not a perfect fit inside the barrel. the inside diameter of the pipe is .742 but the diameter of the paintball is .68 so maybe something behind it will make it go farther like tissue or something.

this is the diagram of all the pieces that went into making it. im not sure what the thing is call that is on the right of the rubber coupler so i guessed what it is.

here is the front if you look at the end u can see the tape i wrapped around it to create a good seal.

im trying to get a video of it when i was testing it when fired from short distance it looks like one big paintball hit it not 7.

I love it :!: The gun is awesome but I think it is cool how you can come up with something which is very much different then your typical potato gun. For some reason in the pic it looks like those barrels are way to big for a paintball. Have you noticed any flames coming out around the rubber fitting joints? I love it cant wait to see the video. Do the paint balls fit very tight in there or is there a little bit of wiggle room. This has given a few ideas dont be suprised if I post one of these cannons :P

no flames but then i only used a pnumatic with it and sealed the gaps with some epoxy so even if i did use a combustion it wouldn't come out from the sides. and yes there is a little bit of room around the paintballs around .062" doesn't sound like a lot but enough to keep it from reaching maximum speed. the barrels were as close as i could get to the right size without special ordering them. the barrels are only 12" long.

I was trying to work the thing out - i see so is this like a barrell fittting for an already exisitng launcher

Sweet idea i love it - how consentrated is the splatter pattern do they all it in the relative spot or do they scatter away from each other

I would'nt fancy been on the other end of that when the balls come raining down on me Hehehe

GGDT calculations indicate that the velocities should be about 300 feet/sec with both a sprinkler valve at 120 PSI, and hooking it up to a combustion chamber.
A burst disk allows for velocites of 400 feet/sec at 100 PSI.

i fire it with this Spudinator CP i plan on making a new gun for it but for right now thats what i use at around 100 psi. About the burst disk, it goes between the barrel and the chamber right so wouldn't the broken parts of plastic clog up the barrels?[/url]

They might. Some disk materials will certainly be worse than others, most notably the PET (beverage container) ones. Alluminum foil would probably be ok, as it's bendable enough that anything over 10 psi should succed in getting it out the barrels.

yeah i made a paintball barrel out of 3/4 inch cpvc, the paintballs fit perfect and at only like 30-40 psi i can shoot one through like 6 layers of thick cardboard without splattering on the cardboard
