Recently I found that 1/2" CPVC fits very well inside 1/2" PVC.

So, I'm looking for a CPVC plug to make a piston with. However, I need the wall of the plug to be at the solvent end, rather than the hex end. If anybody has used DURA plugs, you'll know I mean.

My question is: does anybody know of a such a plug? And where can I find one.

That's becuse CPVC is almost like copper, (in which 1/2" pipe size has a 5/8" OD... the same ID as 1/2" SCH-40 PVC). I've looked into this for certain autoloader and breech loader ideas.

Just plug up the CPVC with some epoxy.

You mean that cpvc is measured in outer diameter, right? That is kinda cool but I don't see much cpvc where I live.

Normal PVC is measured in ID. If you measure the ID of 1" sch 40 PVC it is 1".

PVC nominal pipe size is more so realitive to the to according pipes ID, not the ID. Below I have made a chart to address the issue with actual figures.

<table cellspacing="1" cellpadding="1" border="3"><tr align="center"><td>Pipe Size</td><td>OD</td><td>ID</td></tr><tr align="center"><td>.5"</td><td>0.840</td><td>0.602</td></tr><tr align="center"><td>.75"</td><td>1.050</td><td>0.804</td></tr><tr align="center"><td>1"</td><td>1.315</td><td>1.029</td></tr><tr align="center"><td>1.25"</td><td>1.660</td><td>1.360</td></tr><tr align="center"><td>1.5"</td><td>1.900</td><td>1.590</td></tr><tr align="center"><td>2"</td><td>2.375</td><td>2.047</td></tr><tr align="center"><td>2.5"</td><td>2.875</td><td>2.445</td></tr><tr align="center"><td>3"</td><td>3.500</td><td>3.042</td></tr><tr align="center"><td>3.5"</td><td>4.000</td><td>3.521</td></tr><tr align="center"><td>4"</td><td>4.500</td><td>3.998</td></tr></table>

All I want for Christmas is someone that knows what the hell there talking about!

Why are you guys going on about ID of pipe?
I asked if there was a plug that would work for this.

I'll just do as mark said and plug a peice up with epoxy. It should make a dencent piston.
