Yes. Boot for the AF is at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas. I'll be going to get my ass kicked there in July (I think). It's six weeks.

I'll have to throw in a few mistakes in my (otherwise excellent, IMO) 'drill and ceremonies' so the Drill Instructors don't notice me

Yeah they pull on 100lbs resistance joy sticks, and run up and down cargo planes.
;-)

I'm also considering joining the military, the Marines in particular. Theres a recruiter that wants me to join. I personally wouldn't join any other branch for the simple fact that if I'm going to do something, I'm gonna do it full out. No offense, but the Air Force is the easiest branch you could have picked.

If I joined I would be in special forces. The people regular army are just human shields/bullet sponges. Good luck at boot camp. Have fun with those joy sticks.

They are cool. Can you geet me a free gun? And that firing pin can be replaced if you wont that gun to work again. Its soo sad that you would ruin a gun just so it wont fire. It kills me a little bit every time i think about it.

They issue the recruits at Boot the pinless M16 to prevent a "live fire incident". Gomer Pyle, anyone? Yeah, I wouldn't file off any critical parts like that. Horrible idea, especially on a rifle that's government property.

They have you replace the firing pin when you graduate.

My friend also enlisted in the Air Force, she's going to be a Translator Japanese/German/English. Hope ya don't get stuck in a hot zone.

Somebody said something about an air powered gun on a jet, if the jet is moving fast enough you could just scoop the air up.

I thought the Navy was the easiest branch. If I joined the military it would have been the Air Focre to be a chopper pilot but can't with Red/Green color blindess, would'nt be able to read the HUD.

I thought about doing linguistics, cuz, how freakin cool is that? But I realized that there would be a lot of classroom instruction, and that is something I want to minimize in my career...

thats kind of funny pimp, there is a marine recruiter that wants me to enlist at 16. i saw him at my high school and he saw me later that week at the firing range shooting a.308 and he wants me to go into sharpshooter training  i dont really know what to think because im only 15 :?
in the upcoming presidential election, there will be several candidates who will be running, one of whom is Hillary Clinton. Now WAIT A SECOND!!! I though there was some sort of rule that prevented someone from serving more than two terms in office. Vote Against Hillary: Presidential Elections 08

Yeah the marines came to our school in 7th grade to get us to join. I wish civilians could go to sharp shooter training.

Mostly fix things. If I don't end up with a specialty, I'll be assigned as a crew chief on an aircraft, or a helicopter.

Pimpman: I thought about the Marines, cuz, y'know, I loves the killin'! But, then I decided that I wanted to do AF Combat Control, basically the AF version of the SEALs. Then I decided that I wasn't the person for that. So I decided to fix things, because I love to do that type of thing.

Medically Retired Sailor here. I did nine years and really loved the experience. Got a fifty gallon drum (empty) dropped on my head and they kicked me out because I get pretty severe migraines now. Fully functional human with a really nice disability check.
