i just built a copper burst disk gun. all of it is .5in. does anybody know how to get a air tight seal at the union?

then you have a defective union. check the inner ring, is it dented at all?

another thing is that your burst disk might be to thick.

Put a gasket on each side of the burst disc. Metal unions leak like hell by themselves, it's just life.

it could also be because of how you set the burst disk, you can goop up the parts teflon tape can't reach
