no i used a ne555 (cost like 30 cents) and a scr (which was probably just lying around) since then i have moved to micro controllers, but you can get an 8 pin one for about a dollar and find most of the supporting components in a dead stereo or tv
ps - thanks i the only thing i have been planing lately is posing as student consul members and handing out letters to the middle schoolers that say the bus will come an hour earlier ( the high school is right next to the middle school where i live). i haven't scheming that much lately normally by this point in the year i would have like five things lined up
