It doesnt matter what it can do, but it being a combustion sais enough.
Build a pneumatic one with piston valve and then splatter the balloon, it wil splatter guaranteed then.
Or maybe add some smallstones or stuff between the flour, wich can force the rupturing a bit.

Is the cannon in question posted under the combustion showcase? If not please do so, we would like to know the secret of breaking the sound barrier with a normal combustion

I used a combustion for my flour round. It's a standard spray and pray, nothing too fancy.

However, I shot it at tree, from an angle.

From what I could tell, the bag got sheared open when it struck the tree and released the flour as it continued it's course.

Didn't dongfang go supersonic with a combustion? or does my obsession with scissors and puncture wounds have something to do with this belief?

Its not that one, ill post it on the showcase soon. It doesnt go supersonic anymore due to leaks forming on my seals. Cronographs never lie

Chronographs are not always right and I dont think there has been anyone other than dongfang (who Im not sure of) has broken the speed of sound with a combustion. They just dont wield enough energy to make the projectile go that fast.If you can break the sound barrier you could easily break a thin latex ballon.

Could, please note that word (i dont want to sound stubborn, but the cronograph gave +-the same reading every time, so i appologise if im sounding like that). I got it right for one week straight. And after that nothing. barrel was sealed with weeds and then loaded with about 10 medium sized stones, those that are mixed in cement.

If it was getting the same reading every time it is eighther the chronograph is completely messed up, you broke the speed of sound with your combustion(unlikely), Or the world is coming to an end. :D

hahah might be. Can you tell by ear that it broke the sound barrier?
Because ive heard alot of aircraft break the sound barrier and the sonic boom, whitch made similar sounds to the stones i shot, also shook the ground the same way a rifel shot does.

Yes you can tell by ear if the projectile is large enough if they were just little stones than you would hardly be able to hear it and the fireing of the cannon would of easily drowed it out.

No it doesn't lie about what it measured, but it may not be measuring what you think it is measuring. It could be recording the muzzle blast or small particles shooting out of the barrel. Or if you are launching multiple things the two detectors could be sensing different projectiles.

Quite on-topic.
Its still talk about the performance of the gun you shot the flour-balloon with.
