Why does your teacher have 2" pipe and why is he/she giving it to you?

my tecnology tech is cool man she also makes pnuematics 
well she made one that shoots rocket, any ways she gave me the keys to her storage in the back to get her air compressor so i went there then i saw a crap load of pvc then i was like , so on tuesday ima ask her for some 2 inch, ill go Hd for 1.5 inch though
