That´s an anchor for hollow walls.Got about a tonne of those at work.
They tumble and so the desired effect is lost.

so good idea, but if you understood how it worked you would not have posted that, there are threads in the front of the casing which the screw threads into. to make it work, don use a nail, rather remove the screw and lose the plastic piece. turn the screw around, use a pair of wire snips to trim the round edge off the now front end, take a small piece of cloth and tighten the screw head onto the center (cut a hole in it first). with the cloth seated in place use scissors or something to flare the cloth. on impact the tip will penetrate, but the case will keep it on the outside of target, unless you have extreme velocities or a soft target... should look like this on impact...

uh yeah I said I was going to do some mods to it
aerodynamically they should fly pretty straight the fat metal part on the back will create drag (I'm not talking about the head of the screw, but instead the mailable metal casing)

This might exsplain why done a quick job don't complain.ant wrote:why dont you turn the casing around'' so that when it hits the target the jacket opens due to the force of it hitting the target.

You can tell how awesome a cannon is by the pressure used.
