burst disk holder's

so i made something i think can work, it is 100% air tight with hand force to clamp down and lung power.

i made it like this: 2" malleable male fitting that i cup some threads off and screwed halfway in a 2" copuling, then i cut out a aluminium ring (3mm thick) and a rubber gasket the same way as the alu plate.

you do it like this, put in the aluminium ring that rotates when you are screwing it all tougether so you don't damage the disk, then the disk on the ring, then you put in the gasket and screw in a brass 2" male nipple to clamp it all together.

enough talk look at the pics. (nipple side of it is for the chamber)

if the disk's slip out of this one you wont hear more from me because i will shoot my head off

Looks good Spud. That rubber gasket has that sort of new-wave circle cut into it I see.....

the only problem would be to screw this down tight when i have a 21 foot steel barrel on it

Edit: the holder works, i tried it with a 4layer disk and it got a HOLE and did not just get torn out

so bad we have visitors that is here in four more days so i can't try it..

i will try 3x with a 16 layer disk then a 6x with a 32 layer disk, and if it all goes to the right side i try a 10x with 64 layers.

(remember that this have quite small surface area)

i made one more aluminium washer , so the key to hold the burst disk tight was one washer of aluminium on each side of it.

worked like a dream on 5x!

the gasket got torn in half but it fired, i placed a forged dart in the barrel then put a 2l bottle under the muzzle to get it up from the ground and placed a small 1/4" steel plate infront of a 1/2" aluminium plate. the recoil threw the barrel up high enough to miss the steel and pass through the aluminium like nothing and make a huge hole in the ground where it hit.

the muzzle blast dug a 4" deep hole infront of the muzzle and the vacuum from the chamber sucked in all the dirt
